Urve is a strategic thinker and creative problem solver with over 25 years of leadership and management experience in both the public and private sectors in strategic planning, business development, sales and marketing, and financial feasibility analysis. Organizations include Fortune 500 company, hospitals, CCAC, home care, and start-ups.

Prior to receiving her M.B.A., she worked as a physiotherapist where she was inspired by the determination of her clients, and the teamwork between health care providers, family, and community to support those with challenges to achieve their optimal level of independence.

She serves on various boards, including The Canadian Children’s Book Centre. Urve is also a published author writing about little-known events during World War II and the Cold War.
