“Since first becoming involved with the HIRO Board in 2018, I have been amazed by the strength, resilience, and integrity of the organization and its people. HIRO staff are 100% committed to supporting individuals with head injuries with the highest quality of care. Perhaps most notably, they have shown, time and time again, their creativity in engaging clients to become leaders in their care journey. It is an honour to be part of this forward-thinking group and I am proud observe the continued strides we are making to define what it means to be a client-focused organization.”
Sarrah Lal graduated with a HBSc in Chemical Biology and an MBA in Strategic Management. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the MGD School of Medicine at McMaster University, leading efforts to teach entrepreneurship and building innovative ventures.

She was inspired by the impactful work done by the community and wanted to further support individuals living with ABI.
