If you’re looking to provide a positive impact in your community then HIRO is the place for you. As a HIRO volunteer, you’ll be an important part of the client’s journey, playing a role in the promise of hope after ABI.

We’re grateful for our volunteer HIROs who help ensure a wide variety of recreational pursuits are offered to all clients of all function levels.

Valued Recreational Rehabilitation

Volunteers receive one-on-one orientation and support from our expert staff and you will have the opportunity to work directly with clients. Each volunteer will complete a number of training modules including topics such as the causes and effects of ABI and collaborative problem solving. This type of training ensures you are prepared to provide valued time with people who appreciate your support. Volunteers receive a certificate once the training modules are successfully completed.
